Jesus exposes two more sources of opposition that can be found in the heart of His follwoers: Greed and Worry, and He invites His teammates to confront these by seeking first His Kingdom, allowing Him to care for us and provide for us.

Through the Parable of the Good Samaritan, and through a conflict that erupts between Jesus’ friends Mary and Martha, Jesus articulates the ultimate priorities that He longs to see from His followers.

We have the amazing privilege of carrying the good news of what Jesus has done. In today’s passage, Jesus prepares 72 of His followers to spread the news of what He has done. And we sit in on this lesson, with the hope that Compass Church will truly be a movement of people who help others find and follow Jesus.

Jesus takes 3 teammates and shows them His glory—the Transfiguration—showing them people on Team Jesus must see, crave, and live by the Glory of Jesus.
